I've been using jGenerator for awhile, but am a bit uncomfortable with its abandonware status. I'm using it as a Macromedia Generator replacement, taking a .swt file, a jpg file and a data file to compile a .swf for use in our presentation authoring system.
Does JSwiff provide Generator functions? Any plans to add that?

Currently, JSwiff doesn't support any Generator functions yet. However, I'll examine JGenerator and its source the next few days and I'll give you details about how I plan to integrate some of its features into JSwiff (suggestions welcome).
You're right, JGenerator is abandoned, or more correctly, it was swallowed by Macromedia...

It's ironic that MM swallowed jGenerator, since it was created to fill the gap when MM dropped the ball on Generator itself

I think you can generat a Pie Charts like this,
1, Build a template file first(a swf include a Pie Chart).
2, get the data form your application;
3, insert the data into swf template's DoAction and generat a new result swf file.
Of course, you can do this without the template file.
